Whenever you buy any computer input/output device, you will get a software with it which is called device driver. This driver is used by your computer to communicate with the device. Sometimes you missed that software and you dont know which device is installed in you CPU. For example sound card, you can download its drivers if you know its make and model, like Realtek.
I will tell you a simple method without any hard effect to get all your drivers back.
STEP 1 :: Check what is missing
You can check all missing drivers in Device Manager(Right Click on My computer>> Properties>> Hardware >> Device Manager). A big yellow Question mark will be there on all missing driver.
STEP 2 :: Check Device instance Id for the device with missing driver
Click on the properties of device>> Goto Details Tab>> Select Device Instance Id
for example of Realtek High Definition Audio you will find this
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0888&SUBSYS_1458A002&REV_1000\4&2F790C35&0&0201
Here Vendor Id is 10EC and device id is 0888
STEP 3 :: Identifying Device with Device id or Vendor id
Goto http://pcidatabase.com and enter Vendor id and Device ID
STEP 4 :: When you press search button you will get information about your device. After identifiying your device, you can goto Manufacturer Device and download driver from there support section or you can search that driver on internet.
